Mathias Kiele-Dunsche

group leader

Enthusiastic about mountaineering in various kinds: hiking, via ferrata, ski-touring and more! Furthermore you can meet me over a good cup of esrpesso – both in the city center of munich or on a mountain peak in the Alps ;-)

Looking foward to see you at one of our events or on a mountain tour!

Louise Horobin

Moutain Leader Award & DAV Wanderleiter

I'm from the UK, but have spent most of my life having all of my summers in the Alps. So I decided to move closer!
I enjoy walking, via feratta, scrambling, climbing, trail running and skiing (or attempting to!)

Cristina Sobrino

Growing up in Spain I was often in the mountains. That’s where I go to be in contact with nature. Hiking, skiing, touring, climbing; whatever the mountains have planned for me that day.

I believe in “mountaineering” as an attitude in life. Do you agree with me? Come and join us.

Jana Polednikova

Being in nature was always a huge part of my life and with it came the love for the mountains. Especially the snowy, glaciated ones. All things ice are just amazing, so you’ll often hear me planning a trip to polar regions or at least somewhere where it’s cold. Although I give summer temperatures a pass as then I can climb and enjoy being lazy at the crag! Gardasee anyone?

Join me hiking, climbing, skiing… or on the hunt for the best Kaiserschmarrn in the Eastern Alps!

Robert Roop

Adventure begins when you walk out your front door. Like a lot of IMG members I moved to Munich to be close to the mountains and opportunities to climb, ski, bike, and kayak and a well connected international airport.

Growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of southwest Virginia as a kid I spent my summers camping, hiking and canoeing. These adventures led me to rock climbing, mountain biking and whitewater kayaking and to a job as whitewater raft guide. Along the way I also started skiing and mountaineering.

Jonna Iljin

Mountains are always calling me. I discovered the high hills big time in Scandinavian Lappland, and been busy ever since: I have been travelling or living in the Alps, Dolomites, Andes, Himalayas, Lyngen Alps and Caucasus (ticking Alpamayo, Amadablam, Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Elbrus, Ararat and Mt. Blanc of course, to name a few) Climbing, skiing, hiking, or just watching them – everything goes.

Been also working as a mountain & ski travel leader, helping others reach their dreams too. And I simply believe that mountains make everyone a better person, on so many levels.

Eric Mansfield

I'm from America and was an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. I love all seasons in the Alps. My favorite summer tours are high alpine hikes and via ferrata. In the winter, I like freeride and ski mountaineering.

Erik Hinkelmann

I've started out with alpine climbing and mountaineering as a kid and during my studies I dove more into the world of bouldering, in- and outdoors. As it is, I like climbing in all its facets, so you can contact me for anything from indoor bouldering sessions, over via-ferratas to alpine multi-pitch climbing and back to IFSC competition climbing (following, not participating ;)).

Otherwise, I also enjoy running and hiking and would like to get better at ski-touring/get started with split-boarding.

See you on some wall soon!

Sonam Tamchos Niedersteiner

At the age of 20 years, I was the first Indian reaching the southpole on skies. Being motivated by this achievement, I went to northpole two years later ;-)

I was born in Ladakh and for several years part of an expedition team. Looking forward to share the international mountaineering experience with you!

Michael Aust

I love the mountains throughout the year: hiking and glacier touring in summer, jumping into the lakes for swimming, mountainbiking in between and alpine skiing during winter times.

If you are also keen to reach new peaks, let’s go on a tour together!

Gruppenbetreuer being 'Out & About'

Some of our Gruppenbetreuer are out and about: Travelling around the world, pursueing their dreams, taking care of their new born family members or taking a sabbatical. During their time off, their hear is still beating for the IMG. Interested to know who we are talking about? Find them below this text!

Brittany Haas

An overnight hike in the Grand Canyon is what changed my life: I first fell in love with mountaineering!

Since that hike, I do a little bit of everything, but favor canyoning, via ferratas, and riding my mountain bike or doing multi-day tours on my touring bike. There is just something about a good physical challenge paired with some fresh mountain air, and a sprinkle of sunshine, that pushes me toward the mountains almost every weekend.

Ana Zirner

I've grown up in the bavarian alps and have always been very passionate about the mountains. Over the years, I have learned to respect the mountains in many ways.

In summer I do mostly long multi-day treks, trailrunning and all kinds of via ferratas. In winter I like extended splitboarding tours. When the weather is too bad (hardly ever ;-)), I do a lot of Yoga and also like bouldering and running.

I want to get more into high-alpine touring, multi-day-splitboard-tours and climbing. Interested?
