Polednikova, Jana
Let's open the ski season in Axamer Lizum! Small area just above Innsbruck which hosted winter olympics. The opening day rate is quite often cheap! As for transport, we have availability with the GB; leaving three places: Weilheim / Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn / Munich. Cost is shared for rental + gas and split so every GB covers the cost and every driver gets necessary gas money and cost is equall regardless which vehicle you take. Due to the general chaos on the first day, we don't encourage touring on the day for the safety.

Single pitch winter climbing
Sa., 17.–So., 18.01.2026
Hudson, Robert
Come and join us for a weekend of waterfall ice climbing in the Taschachschlucht in Pitztal. We will be spending the Saturday and Sunday climbing at the prepared ice climbing venue in the Taschachschlucht. We will be able to both set up top ropes and lead climb on single pitch ice. Currently I have been able to reserve accommodation for the Saturday night Sankt Leonhard im Pitztal. I will try to change the booking to Friday and Saturday night, but currently the plan is to leave very early on the Saturday, drive to Pitztal and stay just the one night. This is not a guided tour, but the venue is a good place to practice climbing on ice. Prior outdoor climbing ability is a must, and prior winter climbing a bonus!

Pantelli-Davies, Katie
Join us for a Family Ski & Play Day in Ellmau! We’ll meet at the bottom of the Hartkaiserbahn gondola and head up together. At the top, little ones can enjoy Ellmi’s Magic World with its safe magic carpets, while older kids and adults explore the wider SkiWelt slopes. If wanted, parents can take turns supervising so everyone gets some ski time. We’ll regroup for lunch at the mountain restaurant to share the fun. Please note: parents are fully responsible for their own children throughout the day. This event does not include lessons, but families are welcome to book ski school independently if they wish. Here you can read more about the ski world: https://www.wilderkaiser.info/en/activities/ellmis-magic-world.html

Tannheimer Tal Ski Trip
Allgau, Deutschland
Alpine skiing that is appropriate for beginners to experts as well as families.
So., 18.–Do., 22.01.2026
Roop, Robert
Anyone staying three nights in Tannheimer Tal that pays the tourist tax receives a free lift pass. This includes stays in the self-catering hut Haus Schattwald which is run by the DAV Section Geislingen. Breakfast and Lunch you are on your own. We share dinner responsibilities- each night two people prepare dinner for the group (vegetarian option please). Ski lessons and rentals are available in the valley (Google is your friend). Car pool from Munich for Müncheners. This is the fourth year that I have organized this trip. This year we will be in the nine bed lager. This is not a luxury Kitzbuhel ski holiday. In the past we have had great powder days and no ski days because of rain. The ski areas are small but friendly and old school.
