This gorgeous tour features ridgelines, undisturbed forests and solitude. Starting in Oberammergau, we will cross a dramatic ridgeline with views of the Allgäuer Alpen and Tirol. On our second day, we will ascend the Gross Klammspitze using the steel cable approach and then along the ridgeline before descending to our second night's accommodation, the Kenzenhütte. On the third day, we will walk through a valley and up the backside of the Tegelberg with its views of Neuschwannstein Castle and the Foggernsee. We will break for lunch at the Tegelberghaus. Sa., 24.–So., 25.06.2023
We will cross from Leutasch to Ehrwald along the Südsteig, a route running at roughly 2000m above Gaistal, the valley connecting these two villages. This high alpine environment is full of lush grasses, rocks and cows. It very much looks like a Swiss high alpine pasture. We will stay overnight at a small hut with only 13 spaces and an incredible panoramic view of the Wetterstein group. The next morning we will continue along the route and then down to Ehrwald, where we will take the train home.
A Medium level of conditioning is needed. Day 1 is 1270m up/330m down and day 2 is 670m up/1590 down We will mostly go along well maintained mountain path.

I have rented a chalet in the woods above the village of Kandersteg for a week in July. From this base we can explore the options in the area, including hiking, climbing, Klettersteig, paragliding etc., before sharing a meal together back at the Chalet each evening. We have the option to travel either by train or by car. It would be extremely helpful if we had at least one car on the trip, just to make shopping more straightforward.
Depends on the activity. There is a whole range of options, from easy forrest walks to multi-pitch climbing.

Sa., 12.–Di., 15.08.2023
The 5 key days (Day 2 is two stages rolled into one) of the 9-day Stubaier Höhenweg. What better way to spend the August long weekend? One of the most popular multiday hikes in Austria, with wonderful glacial views. Hut to hut, whilst remaining above 2000 hm. The plan is to travel by public transport (train+bus) into Stubaital, before heading up a gentle trail to the first hut. We will also return (bus+train) on the final day
The majority of the hike is T2/T3; however, there are short sections that are cabled and some need hands. Day 1: 900 m ascent, 6.7 km (Bus stop to Nürnberger Hütte) Day 2: 1040 m ascent, 1010 m descent, 11 km (Nürnberger Hütte to Dresdener Hütte) Day 3: 930 m ascent, 960 m descent, 9.0 km, (Dresdener Hütte to Neue Regensburger Hütte) Day 4: 1050 m descent, 8.3 km (Neue Regensburger Hütte to Falbeson) Day 4 (optional extra): 770 m ascent, 770 descent, 5.2 km (to Kreuzspitze and back from the hut)
